To really illustrate how distracted I have been from writing on this blog, I began this entry 3 weeks ago to talk about some of my escapades of the weekend, and am only now getting around to actually posting it.
Secondly let me note that the better of the photos shown here are not, as usual, my own work, but instead that of Mr. Fresquez, a sometimes business associate and compatriot of mine. I want to brag on him, as he does such a spectacular job, and as he sends me good business every once in a while.
So I have been working a bit with Town2 Magazine doing the editing and production work on some video they've gathered at local events. So I was informally invited to attend the "pool launch party" for the Mosaic that was hosted by Town2. I must say, having a pool right on the EDGE of the roof overlooking downtown Dallas is a very fun thing, and a place to party that makes one feel very important.
Of course, I took the opportunity to wander around with all the beautiful people and try to sun away some of the fishbelly white that I cultivate most of the year.
In any case, I showed up with a camera and stumbled upon a series of entertainment events including a fashion show by Sharrari Couture swim line, an up-and-comer, the Velvet Kittens Burlesque, and a Fire Dance Troupe I didn't catch the name of.
And more entertaining was acting as the spontaneous photo assist for the spontaneous model shoot that the party devolved into, which saw me standing IN the pool with a crappy par can (trying to keep the very frayed extension cord out of the pool) lighting models on a field of color and water on top of a building until 2am. But the photos speak for themselves.
I suppose this is one of those "let's brag on people" posts... but as I began by saying, it has taken me three weeks to get around to writing even this fluff. Deal with it.
